Alan's Background

Alan has over 31 years of military service in the U.S. Army’s Active and Reserve Components, deploying overseas and stateside in support of Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Noble Eagle, and Kosovo Force 10.

After his last military deployment, he was selected to serve as Director of the Missouri Show-Me Heroes program, a partnership between the Missouri National Guard, the Missouri Governor’s Office, and the Missouri Division of Workforce Development.

Additionally, Alan has been providing employment and entrepreneurial workshops and workforce development assistance in both the public and private sectors since early 2010, primarily for members of the military community in Missouri and throughout the Midwest.

Alan retired from the U.S. Army & Missouri National Guard in 2017. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Lindenwood University. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Dana, and a proud father and grandfather.

Alan considers himself a public servant at heart and will channel that energy towards serving each and every resident of Jackson County.
